I will not log rest days unless I’m doing something active.  So it is safe to assume I’m not active on  a rest day.  Sunday, was a rest day. :)

This workout sucked the life out of me.  I showed up around 5:30 to work on O lift with Josh.  We focused on back squat and he’s got me doing a linear progression program.  I’m starting at 185#.  My main focus is flexibility and form/technique.  I need to get lower and make sure my chest is up.  In between each set, I hopped on the wall and did some wall squats.  I finally understood what they meant about your knees not surpassing your toes.  I got the point the knees should be out, you know, not crashing inwards.  But having the right balance of your knees out and chest up is something I need to get used to.

Now the workout.  The wall balls seem easier and I banged them out without resting.  The bumper plate burpees sucked, but I managed to get through those.  The run is what killed me.  Jesse was my partner and he helped pushed me through the run.  I tip my hat off to him because I know I slowed him down during the run portion, yet he still managed to say some words of encouragement.  Thanks bro!  Oh yeah, Hector did the same thing.  On my last set of pull-ups, he tells me to jump up and do 9 straight.  I never strung out 9 pull-ups before but I managed to do all 9 straight w/o dropping.  It was the butterfly kip that got me going.  Word!  He also popped out at the 200m marked and pushed Jesse and I to go all out on the final stretch.  Man, I’m feelin the camaraderie!

After the workout, I hated CrossFit for a good 5 minutes.  I felt like quitting several times during the run and I’m glad I didn’t.  This workout was brutal.

Notice the sadface at the end of the workout. :(
