Day #101
WOD
Snatch 1,1,1,1,1,1,1
-then-
On the minute for 10 minutes:
20 second hollow rock hold
5 HSPUsresults: 135# (power snatch)
One of the technical o-lift exercises I need to seriously practice on. The WOD itself was brutal due to shoulder fatigue. I was spent on the 2nd round. Real talk.
Day #102
WOD
5 rounds:
10 Pull-ups
20 OH Walking Lunges
10 Burpeesresults: DNF
Front squats was the focus for my o-lift session this morning. I practiced on technique by maintaining my lumbar curve throughout the exercise. My wall squats are looking & feeling much better. I’m able to get lot closer to the wall. All I have to work on is tightening my shoulders as if I’m doing an overhead squat. I used Jared’s old o-lift shoes, which are now community shoes, and those helped a ton on squats.
While doing up the burpees in the 4th round I noticed blood. I was like WTF? I ran to the bathroom, grabbed a handful of paper and finished the set of burpees. Then came the OH lunges w/ the 45# plate. While doing the lunges, I couldn’t get over the fact that my hand was messed up. The adrenaline made the pain go away, but mentally, I just about had it. I threw in the towel & I regret not finishing. :( ): double sad face.
