Sunday was spent at the M buffet and it was all crab legs for me. Deliciousness! I treated my belly to some dessert and it was not happy at all. Oh well, I took it as a cheat day. I’ve been feasting like a king lately and this needs to stop ASAP. But how do I say no to family when they want to go out and eat? Ugh!!! I’m thinking about fasting… or not.
So Josh was at the box sporting the Nike Romaleos. He picked them up for $200 from Rogue Fitness and I’m contemplating on scooping up a pair very soon. The shoe itself looks pimp and he mentioned it’s a bit higher than the Do-Wins.

I worked on my mental game again and I think I’m getting pretty good at it. I keep telling myself that it will be painful and it will suck, but I can choose to either kick ass or suffer. Every time I felt like resting, I’d give myself 3-4 deep breaths and got back to work. I’ll only get better if I choose to get better. Josh told me after the workout that I need to stay on the bar and not let go. I have the strength, I just need to keep going and not stop.
WOD
“Happy Birthday Bro!” (You knew this one had to be rough)
8 rounds:
7 Squat Cleans (115#/80#)
100m sprint
9 Double Unders
8 Burpees
3 Push Press (115#/80#)results: 28:09
With the Rx Jump rope, my double unders has improved. I’ll always hate burpees but I’m cool with doing them. What got me through the squat cleans was an article I read recently on CrossFit Journal. The author mentioned that olympic weightlifting will always make you feel uncomfortable from the start. It’s pretty obvious yes, but I always related discomfort to growth. You’re not growing if you’re always comfortable. Time to step out of your comfort zone and grow!
