Day #80
WOD
Kipping pull-up practice
-then-
Straight through for time:
30 Pull-ups
1000m row
30 Burpeesresults: 7:31 (I’m not too sure about the time because I was so out of it, I didn’t remember. So I went with 7:31. I have a feeling it was a bit quicker.)
My hands aren’t bloody from the pull ups. YAY! *insert fireworks here* Jared mentioned doing “negatives” to work on your strength. I will do that! After watching the video of Spealler’s tutorial on the butterfly, I want to incorporate a few things. I like how he mentioned “riding a bicycle backwards” and “heels to butt.” Those are the two biggest takeaways I got from the video.
I did 20 pull-ups, dropped, then 4, drop, 3, drop, and last 3. Towards the end, I was getting sloppy and I went back to the standard kip rather than butterflying it all the way. The row was next and I kept a good pace. I felt I could have done better and I appreciate Hector pushing me. But I just felt winded and I struggled towards the end of the row. UGH! It has to be my diet. I just know it! The burpees went okay. I just kept pushing through them. At 20, I took a little breather and continued with Hector’s help. Overall, it was a good workout. Looking forward to get my strength up on thrusters, perfect my butterfly, and meet Fran head on.
