*With a continuously running clock do 1 power clean the 1st minute, 2 the 2nd and continue until you can no longer complete the given reps within the minute.

results: 205# power clean (no jerk) / 9 rounds + 6 cleans

My shoulder is still raw and thats why I decided not to go up after clean and jerking 185#.  I did get a 205# power clean and called it.  It’s a good thing if you’re able to correct and tweak your technique while focusing on form.  Zach mentioned I have the strength and once I get my technique down, everything will fall into place.  I had a nice pull, but didn’t get quick enough under the bar.  At least I know that now.

I went to the box early thinking I could work on a few butterfly kips.  But when I jumped on the bar and warmed up a little bit, my hands just felt raw.  I don’t know how gymnasts do it.  During the warm ups, Zach included 10 pull ups, which 2 had to be strict.  I was like fuck, I can’t do a strict pull-up.  Guess what, that shit is EASY.  I was shocked and made a big deal how 4 months ago, I couldn’t do a single pull-up.

Tomorrow I’ll rest up.  Maybe I’ll go to the box early and do some ring push ups and pull ups.  We’ll see.
