I showed up early to work on back squats and today’s weight was 190#.  Next week, I’ll move up to 195#, etc.  Linear progressions baby! 

I felt good today and after having a shitty week, I wanted to do well.  But before I continue, I have to say I lost 6lbs. since Monday.  Could it be from not eating shitty food and slowly easing back into the Paleo routine?  Perhaps.  Oh, I stopped by Trader Joe’s and picked up brown rice gluten free bread.  It’s a bit pricey and heavy.  Taste?  I suppose its an acquired taste.  Maybe if I toast it, it may taste better.  I’ll try that tomorrow.

The first round of the work out was fine.  I breezed through the cleans and the ring dips didn’t seem too much of a problem.  I tried keeping a good pace on the rower by making sure all those big pulls count.  I could get it to where one pull was one calorie.

Second round was a bit longer.  We started off with the rower and boy did it sucked.  My legs felt wobbly and I just couldn’t get a good rhythm going.  The dips were next and I broke it up in 3 sets of 5.  The cleans were fine until I got to about 6.  I failed on the 7th pull and yeah, it screwed my time.  I had to take a brief breather and I hopped on the bar shortly and again… fail.  I had to regroup and bang three out right away.  Once I got that, I hustled out of there to finish the last 100m.

Overall, I think I did okay.  My shoulder feels a bit raw so I iced it when I got home.  Tomorrow I plan on working on snatches for O lift class.  The WOD tomorrow is a team WOD and it looks fun.  Cheeee huuu.  Hopefully I get to watch the BJ Penn fight.  Need to represent the islands baby!
